The Hoof Bone Repair (HBR) solution was designed to help horses suffering from Osteomyelitis, an infectious and often painful inflammatory bone disease that causes bone tissue death and degeneration. Any horse that has suffered hoof bone damage, or infection in adjacent tissue, may be subject to this disease as infection often sets in following bone damage.  This disease is also common in horses that have had laminitic episodes as the coffin bone can acquire osteomyelitis from the bacterial infection that occurs with the separation of laminae.  When that is the case, the horse has continued abscessing with accompanying bacterial infection and hoof pain, even when the underlying issue of EMS is well contained.

The Hoof Bone Repair solution increases blood circulation within the hoof, stops the bone degeneration, aids in the recovery of bone tissue, targets leukocytes to the bone infection, and relieves pain.  It is effective for osteomyelitis to other bone locations in the leg as well.

We advise using Total Immune Health as an adjunct to the Hoof Bone Repair to build the horse’s immune system and strengthen the immune system’s ability to fight off the bacterial infection and the osteomyelitis.
