Rena and LibbyLibby is an American Shire mare; she is 22 years old this year! She started showing signs of arthritis in her left stifle, always resting it and not wanting to trot much at all and trimming the right hind was becoming a big issue as of course didn't want to put weight on the left for any length of time.
I talked to vet and they wanted to start her on injections, and I honestly was not too keen on that! I had used the MMP for my pony with feet issues years ago and it worked so well I thought I would see what For Love of the Horse had.
I ordered the Arthritus formula, and it took right at 30 days but what a difference!! She had been on the formula for almost 60 days and does not rest the left hind every time she is not moving! That was the first sign, then 2 weeks ago she trotted in from the pasture with the rest of them and honestly, I cried!
Trimmer was actually able to trim the right hind, now granted we did it in short intervals so the left would have a chance to rest and bear all her weight, but it was not a fight like 2 months ago.
I hope to continue to see improvement, she is such a good big girl we want comfortable in her day-to-day life, and she feel will be around a few more years.
