I have a Paint gelding that came to me with an Occult Sarcoid on the left side of his face. I had no idea what an Occult Sarcoid was at the time, however. I kept watch of the place and was told it was a scar, a fungal infection - Then, for whatever reason, the sarcoid became "active" and I called my Vet. I saw that it was getting larger and I was very worried. She confirmed that the place on Iggy's face was indeed an Occult Sarcoid. She prescribed a chemo cream - 5FU - and even though I had reservations about the treatment, I followed her instructions. WHAT A HORRIBLE MESS IT MADE AFTER APPLYING IT TO THE SARCOID! I had to apply the cream 2 x daily for a week, 1 x daily for one week - the area was bleeding and it looked awful - I was instructed to apply an antibiotic cream until the area was "healed". The trouble was, IT NEVER HEALED! SO....some months later, she chose to treat his sarcoid AGAIN with the 5FU - I was not happy about using the chemo treatment again since the results were not positive after the first treatment, but I chose to put Iggy through one more treatment because I didn't know what else to do.
Somehow, and lucky for me, I found the For Love of the Horse forum and what a prize I found!! I was absolutely frantic and worried and I posted my questions. I got an immediate response from Angela and for the first time in months and months, I knew I had found help! She talked with Dr. Thomas and I couldn't believe he took the time to respond to me!! I was more than hopeful that I had found something to help Iggy - the love of my life! Total Immune Health was recommended by Dr. Thomas and I ordered a container immediately! Iggy absolutely LOVED it! Angela and Dr. Thomas told me I might not see immediate results because of the chemo treatments, etc. I truly believed in the Total Immune Health and, for the first time, I knew I was moving in the right direction! I did begin to see improvement before I had even finished my first container, though - hair was beginning to grow in - I was amazed! Improvement continued and I continued with the Total Immune Health!
I never expected to see the results I saw - I still can't believe Iggy's sarcoid has healed!! My Vet could not believe her eyes! I showed her the Total Immune Health - she didn't even know what to say! She did say she'd like to have some of it to put on her morning toast!
