We consider EMS/Cushing’s/IR Solution a critical part of managing our older mini horse’s episodic bouts of laminitis.

He’s much more comfortable and the laminitis episodes much less frequent than they were before starting with this product.

Lifesaver...literally

This review is extremely overdue. My mare came to me as a founder rehab in 2019 with a cresty neck and fat pads. I did what I could to improve her diet but the next spring even small amounts of grass had her uncomfortable with digital pulses. EMS Formula(combined with other emergency formulas used at the time) was pivotal in her recovery. She has received the full horse dose daily since then. She is fully recovered from frontal coffin bone protrusions and is my trail partner. I know without a doubt she would not be healthy and functioning (and receiving limited amounts of grass) were it not for the EMS Formula.

My 27 yo warmblood is feeling so much better since her's been on this formula! He's brighter and happier. I hope everyone with an IR/metabolic horse would give this a go! PS, he loves the taste and it's easy to give, kind of turned into a "legal treat"!

This product has been a miracle for my mini gelding, Louis.

He was in severe pain before we started him on the EMS/Cushings formula. Some days he barely moved. He was often in too much pain to even eat. We were preparing for the worst and honestly thought we might have to euthanize him.

When our trimmer recommended For The Love of Horses, we hoped it would help him but we never dreamed it could eliminate his pain.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. It’s great to see him moving freely again, pain free. He’s his old mischievous (annoying as hell) self again.

We are very grateful. We really can’t thank you enough.

My 27 YO insulin resistant horse has been on this formula for about 10 days now, and he seems brighter and more energetic. It's too soon to say how he will be over time but the early indications are very good. I would recommend this to anyone with a Cushing's or IR equine.

My little Arabian mare, Nadia is doing quite well on this formula. I can see results with this wonderful herbal formula for my metabolic horse. She does have both Cushings and IR, and I feel confident that she is getting the support she needs to be as healthy as possible!

I have been your customer for a few years now and have been very satisfied with EMS formula. I can’t keep my horse on maintenance because he goes backwards. So I order a monthly supply every couple months.
But it seems that in two past orders the product was different. When I mix the powder with the water the same exact way I always did, the suspension is very very thin, the consistency of the water. My horse likes it less. It seems that you changed the formula and it lacks the thickener.If it was done to improve the quality, then it justifies the higher price. I hope this batch was an accident. Please advise.

In 2006, my horse, Naoise, founded so severely that every vet we spoke with, except one, told us to put him down. We started him on the IRS formula (and also used the MMP Stop formula). He made a full recovery, starting almost immediately. He tests like a type 2 diabetic, so we use this formula twice daily. He is happy and healthy!!

After treating Diablo with the trio EMS/cushings/IR, hoof ailments, and MMP stop he has remained in remission. I only give him the EMS/Cushings/IR formula once a day to keep him from having anymore problems. It works beautifully and he loves the herbs.

Max the mini horse

So I ran out of $ to buy Max his Liver and EMS/IR/Cushings Solution so he went without for a month or more. He declined. Was not able to walk very well. As soon as we restarted, guess what? He is walking around his area and back to his mischievous self! Glad to have him back. Love Dr. Tom's formulas!

I cannot even put into words how helpful you and Jessica have been throughout this journey. I must admit I was very worried about Colors. He was depressed, he’d completely gone of his grain. And he’d lost a ton of weight (approx. 200 pounds)which it shows a lot with him because he’s very refined.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. The veterinarian wanted him in Pergolite. At the time I’d had a fall and a friend was caring for him. She placed him on the Pergolite. After doing my research and seeing Colors start to deteriorate I knew I needed to change his treatment.

I’ve used your EMS product on my 3 broodmares in the past and the weather were very successful with your EMS Formula. Even while monitoring the mares bloodwork all their ACTH and insulin levels were normal.

We didn’t want to medicate our breeding mares so the EMS Formula was a safer alternative. It kept the mares eating and happy without one incident of laminitis.

Boy and I so glad I put Colors on the EMS Formula six weeks ago. He’s a completely different horse. He’s cleaning up his grain. Success!

Thanks for all your help tweaking his diet and the EMS Formula has done wonders for his Cushings Disease.

He has majority of his weight back on. He cleaning his feed up which of course consist mostly of beet pulp and alfalfa pellets.

His rough, long, dull coal is gone and is absolutely beautiful again.

He’s no longer depressed or lethargic. He’s back to being himself again. And it’s all because if your consultative approach and the EMS Formula.

We have completed three weeks on this formula and I am seeing good results with my 16 year old Tennessee Walker. His appetite is beginning to feel normal and he appears to be less constantly hungry. I have hope for this as a solution for his metabolic issues and it is the first thing that has made a real difference for him!

My 11 year old Warmblood has never been quite right. He has always had some type of lameness. Just recently he had a acute case of Laminitis after shoes were recommended by my long time farrier as his only solution to E’s (Einstein) lameness. After having a consultation with my nutritionist, she recommended Hoof Ailment and EMS. Within 1 week of these products, the adema and fatty deposits were going away. 2 months later, he has lost 100 lbs on diet alone. He has a new farrier that pulled the shoes and is getting him a correct barefoot trim for the first time in his life. He no longer needs the hoof ailment but I am keeping him on the EMS because of the significant changes in just 2 months.

My horse had a sever founder episode years ago. His blood panels have tested similarly to type 2 diabetes ever since.
He stays on EMS formula daily since then. Plus a low sugar, low starch diet. He stays so healthy with this regimen!
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Thomas as the For Love of the Horse associates.

I am very happy with the results I am getting for my mini with this product. She has made tremendous progress in her overall health and in recovery from her episodes of laminitis. Her feet are tremendously improved. She moving without pain and is back to trotting and cantering at her will.
